We are pleased to announce that COVID-19 vaccines are now available for most crew members arriving to the United States on both foreign and U.S. flag vessels. General Steamship has played a key role in obtaining approvals for seafarer vaccine programs from state and local officials in several major ports across the country. We are now working with many local service providers to offer both on-board and off-site vaccination programs to all crew members who request same.
Due to time constraints in port on most vessels, the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine is being offered to seafarers in most instances.

We would like to thank all staff who have contributed to this effort. The feedback and appreciation of the crew, ship owners, operators, managers, and charterers has been overwhelming, and well worth our efforts. Thank you.
Below: Our Anchorage, Alaska office set up an on-board vaccination program with local Nurse Practitioner, Jyll Green. The crew of the STI Maestro (pictured below), were excited to have the opportunity to receive these vaccines, due to limited availability back home.
